Rex Lee Memorial Run at BYU

We hope everyone will participate in this run. Wouldn't that be something if all 50 of us took part. There has to be a prize for largest family group or something. Strollers and small children are allowed as long as they are accompanied by an adult at all times. We will be making a t-shirt for everyone to wear during the race in honor of Daddy. Leatham Family Christmas Party

Merry Christmas to all! We are so excited to announce the Christmas Party. Here it is..

Who: Paul and Wendy Leatham's 6 sons, 3 daughters, 6 daughters-in-law, 2 sons-in-law, 12 grand-sons and 20 grand-daughters! That makes for 49 plus Grama Wendy! A grand total of 50!! If everyone comes let's shoot for a family picture.
What: Christmas party, gift exchange, games and most importantly FOOD!
When: Saturday January 7th 2012 @ 1pm
Where: Fillmore
WHY?: Because most of the time we love each other and want to get together to celebrate family!

Everyone please come! Bring your favorite New Year's Eve dish and a dessert. Mom is going to make a turkey. Brook and Rose are bringing Salmon Pate and Eben and Crystal will bring the Teriyaki Chicken. Please leave a comment with the dish your family will be bringing so we don't have multiples. Not that they wouldn't get eaten but we would like some variety!! Bring enough of the dish you choose to feed your whole family as if it were a main dish. A few posts down you will find the gift exchange list. Make sure you check that out so you know who to bring gifts for. Guidelines for the gifts are either:
-homemade
-re-purposed or
-dollar store/DI
Don't stress about it. We just want it to be fun.

Heber Valley Camp

Hi All! Just wanted to remind you that we have a reservation at Heber Valley Camp for June 3rd and 4th. I know most of the guys are probably working but I am unable to change our reservation so if the moms and kids want to go stay it could be a good chance for the cousins to hang out and the girls to chat. Please let me know who will be going. I would like to make a reservation for the challenge course and the canoes but I need a count of participants. Thanks, Tian

The holidays are over and the Christmas party was a huge success. We missed those of you that could not make it and hope everyone will be able to attend this year. I spoke with quite a few of my sisters, though not all, and it seems we either needed to do away with the homemade gift exchange or give everyone more preparation time. The Staples

Hi Everybody! This is Liza and Kord (I hope we're doing this right, we've never posted before). We're up here in Idaho Falls enjoying every day! Kord took me to a gunshow this last weekend and we had alot of fun. We bought a couple of air-soft guns and have been having fun shooting them at whatever we can shoot at :). The restaurants up here are amazing. Our favorite so far has been this local country-italian place... For appetizers they bring out bread and then in a little dish on your table they make a sauce with olive oil, garlic, and a bunch of other italian seasonings and it reminds me of the sauce mom used to make for our spaghetti.:) I'm still looking for a job but Kord got a full time position at this restoration company that he loves...(he's at work right now.) I hope the pictures of the house came up. It's such a great place but kinda empty---we have a whole extra master bedroom with it's own bathroom so visitors are always welcome :) But you should probably wait until it warms up because they don't plow the roads all that well (even on the freeways) and wrecks are a daily occurance... Plus, adding insult to injury, the police that come to the scene of the accident write at least two or three tickets per crash. "Safety on the highways" is a HUGE deal in Idaho, but when the ice and snow are gone the drive is actually pretty peaceful with just a two-lane highway and no traffic until you hit Pocatello (college town.) So, hope all is well at home, we miss everyone and we'll see you soon!

Family Reunion

As if we don't see each other way too much already, we are planning a Leatham Family Reunion. Mark your calendar for June4th and 5th, 2010. The place is Heber Valley Camp. Go to their website to see a map and read up about the lush accommodations. The cost is $12 per person 13 and older, $8.00 per person 3-12, $5.00 per person under 3 except the 3 babies born in 2009 are only $1. (This covers the cabins, canoeing and 3 meals and 2 snacks.) We will check in on Friday June 4th at 2pm and check out on Saturday June 5th at 5pm. We will go canoeing on Friday at 5pm for one hour. The challenge courses are scheduled out but hopefully we will be able to work something out when we get there.(If we are able to get a challenge course, it is $3 per person.) I hope everyone can make it. Please let me know if you'll be there or not so we can plan meals and games and such.

EBRIE LILY LEATHAM

Ebrie Lily was born June 14th 2009 at 8:20p.m. she weight 7lbs 10oz 20 1/2inches long. She has been my biggest baby yet. The labor and delivery went really well and with all the "drama" with the whole pregnancy I was so happy and delighted that she was born very healthy and that I was fine also.

We are so blessed to have our kids and we are very excited to have little Ebrie Lily join in our family. The kids are just in love with her...maybe a little "too in love" with her at times :)

Brinlee Marian Leatham

was born May 9th 2009, she was 6 lbs 10 oz and 20 inches long.
Her mom and dad are totally in love with her! So far it sounds like she is a pretty mild mannered baby with not alot to fuss about. Were all so excited for Nolan and Chelsey and to have such a sweet little girl in our family.

Chelsey's baby shower

Chelsey's baby shower by far was one of the most memorable party's I've been to.

Everything started out with wonderful food and great friends and family. What a turn out...Chelsey and baby girl Leatham are very loved and everyone is SO excited for Chelsey and Nolan to start this new part of there lives.

The first game started with a gross little game in which a candy bar had been melted and smooshed into a diaper (to look alot like a stinky diaper). Just then someone sayed that cars were being booted and towed because they were parked in the wrong spot. So those who were in the "line of fire" hurried and moved there cars and Chelsey went to work trying to get these guys to give her party guests a break. 2 hours and alot of drama later. The party started again and we got to see what were in those wonderfully wrapped presents.

It's very safe to say that Baby girl Leatham will be the best dressed baby. So many CUTE outfits and bows and headbands...if I weren't already having a baby that shower would have sent me into full born envy.

It was so nice to get together with my sister-in-laws and catch up on everyones lifes. I am so thankful for them!

Good luck to Nolan and Chelsey...just a couple more weeks!

Disneyland & the new arrivals

I didn't actually get any pics of the chicks because watching KJ try to get them is cuter than the chicks themselves, although they are pretty cute. The kids love them. Also our princess got to meet some "real" princesses. I missed Minnie Mouse kissing Justus & Aidan but we found Mickey all by himself on our Magic Morning in Disneyland.

Anywhere but the kitchen

Maybe I'll get more into blogging someday but the only reason I'm here now is because I was reading everyone's cute blogs with cute pics and thinking wow I'm a loser. Anyway I went back into the kitchen to find AK involved in a myriad of projects,(play dough, coloring etc.) and JP and AE playing Star Wars with the colored pencils- two pencils per hand = General Grevious? red is Darth Vader. Also AE is making a snack for all. So I ran back to the computer and am prepared to plead the fifth when AJ gets home to the disaster. Anyway not to make this drag on. Some fun news. KJ's first tooth broke through this morning, very cut! JP is starting to read, slowly. AE fell asleep on the Bishop's arm during primary and AK has become a pro at the Hokey Pokey! Perfect for her to learn in nursery after all that is what it's all about!

All the Leatham women seem to be doing our part to repopulate the earth.
It a wonderful thing to have so many special spirits coming in our lifes. At this point we seem to always have at least 3 baby's coming per year.
Chelsey is first having her baby girl on May 4th, My (crystal) baby is due June 20th, and new news of Jill having a baby September 6th.

Allen Roper saw Eben today and asked about Nolan and Eben mentioned that he had baby on the way...Allen laughed and sayed "your not a Leatham unless you have one on the way" (which I think should be our new family motto) then Allen asked how many kids Eben has now and he sayed "4 and one on the way" which just proved Allen's point and they had a good laugh.

This years Christmas party was a blast! Lots of great food and good conversation. The high light of the evening was of course the kids doing the nativity scene. I think we could have all watched that all night.

Everyone did such a good job giving "homemade" gifts. I hope we can all get together again next year and do the same thing.

Thanks for the time and effort everyone put into making this a very special day for everyone in the Leatham family.

Leatham Family party

December 27th (saturday) at 6:00p.m. there will be a fun Christmas party at the 1st/4th ward church building.

There will be a potluck dinner and everyone is welcome to bring a dish...or two.

Reflections

Every year Fillmore Elementary has a contest called "Reflections" you can choose to enter in all categories (photography, film, drawings, watercolors, etc). The boys both chose to do a drawing with the "wow" theme in mind.

There were 125 entries pre-school through 4th. Kamryn's picture was chosen for 5th place in his division (3th-4th grade) and Joshua was chose as the 2nd place winner (1st-2nd grade).

I was simply proud of them and so excited to see them being cheered for by there friends. Joshua was even more proud of his trophy and has had to show everyone he comes across.
